Lockdown - Postcards from Pembrokeshire

I take shelter in the doorways of empty shops, and protecting my camera from the rain, capture images of empty streets. The sound of the rain provides a backdrop to a confusion of thoughts. I feel a little lost - when will I visit the woods again, or the ocean? When will I be able to visit the grave of my mother and step-father, both of whom died in 2020 in a faraway place that was out of bounds to me?

Returning home, photographically dissatisfied, I prowl my house. Following the light, I find my way to a cluttered windowsill. it seems a just metaphor.

The creative act that is photography claims my full interest, calming me.

When I edit the layers for the final photograph I colour them blue.
