I feel somehow deeply moved by an encounter with a tree growing inside an abandoned telephone kiosk. This kiosk which is home to a tree, sits on the corner of a street in the town in which I live. I find the beauty of the tree startling. Slowly, over the years the abandoned kiosk is being transformed by the tree which resides in its inner space - spiders' webs, moss, fungi and particles of plant matter create a living growing patina on the inner surface of the glass. Standing close, my camera and I peer into the inner biosphere. A hush slows my perception, and my heart engages in dialogue with the tree.
